PRIORITIES
Focused on what matters most to Folsom residents
My priorities are grounded in listening to residents. I will continue to protect our quality of life while making thoughtful decisions that serve the long term health of our community.
PUBLIC SAFETY

Public safety is foundational to our quality of life in Folsom. Residents deserve to feel safe in their neighborhoods, parks, and business districts and to trust that their concerns will be taken seriously.

During my time on the City Council, I worked to move public safety from a stated priority to a budgeted and operational one by supporting additional resources for our Police and Fire Departments and helping establish Folsom’s dedicated Homeless Outreach Team. That work has improved coordination, reduced repeat calls for service, and strengthened how the City responds to complex situations in our community.

Looking ahead, my priority is continuing to ensure our Police and Fire Departments remain properly resourced, responsive, and supported by strong leadership. That includes restoring full engine availability and strengthening paramedic response capacity as emergency medical calls now represent roughly 80% of fire service responses in our community.

Public safety decisions should continue to be guided by data, community needs, and a commitment to follow through. Maintaining strong staffing levels, supporting recruitment and retention of high-quality first responders, and continuing proactive programs like the Homeless Outreach Team are essential to protecting the safety and stability residents expect.
FISCAL STEWARDSHIP

Strong communities require responsible financial leadership. Protecting affordability means being disciplined with public dollars and transparent with residents.

Since joining the City Council I worked to strengthen expectations that departments operate within adopted budgets and that financial reporting is clear and understandable for both the Council and the public. Maintaining alignment between adopted budgets and actual spending will remain one of my core priorities moving forward.

My priority is continuing to ensure the City lives within its means and maintains a balanced budget where ongoing expenses are supported by reliable revenue. Clear reporting, responsible long term planning, and alignment with adopted budgets help protect essential services while respecting affordability for families and local businesses.

Responsible fiscal leadership also means making decisions that support stable governance and long term sustainability for the City. I will continue supporting budget decisions that are transparent, sustainable and aligned with community priorities without asking residents to shoulder unnecessary financial burdens.
QUALITY OF LIFE & INFRASTRUCTURE

Folsom’s quality of life is why people choose to live here and why they stay. Protecting what we already have remains one of my highest priorities as our community continues to grow.

That means continuing to maintain parks, trails, roads, and public spaces while improving accessibility and preserving the natural environment that makes Folsom distinctive. Caring for the community we already have must remain central to every planning decision we make.

Looking ahead, I will continue working with regional partners to support coordinated transportation solutions that reduce congestion and protect our neighborhoods from the impacts of surrounding growth.

My priority is balancing responsible infrastructure investment with thoughtful decisions about how and where growth occurs. Supporting local businesses and maintaining community character are both essential to keeping Folsom the kind of place families choose to call home.
These priorities reflect my commitment to steady leadership, clear decision making, and respect for the people who call Folsom home.
