What guides my service on the City Council is simple: focusing on what matters most to the people who call Folsom home. That commitment requires clear priorities, accountability and results. It continues to shape the work I do every day on behalf of our community.
Leadership That Delivers
PUBLIC SAFETY
Public safety is foundational to quality of life in Folsom. During my time on the City Council, I have worked to ensure public safety remains both a stated priority and a funded one.
I championed the creation of Folsom's Homeless Outreach Team, supported additional police staffing, and advocated for increased focus on traffic safety, speeding, and reckless driving.
Today, Folsom continues to be one of the safest communities in the region, with a proactive approach to addressing homelessness, protecting neighborhoods, and maintaining strong police, fire, and emergency response services.
FISCAL STEWARDSHIP
Strong communities require responsible financial leadership. During my time on the City Council, I worked to strengthen transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline in how the City manages taxpayer dollars.
I raised concerns about millions of dollars in spending that exceeded Council-approved budgets and advocated for stronger oversight, clearer reporting, and greater accountability across City operations.
Today, the City has a more transparent budget process, mid-year budget reviews, improved fiscal reporting, and stronger controls to help ensure departments operate within approved budgets. These reforms have helped create a more balanced and sustainable financial framework that protects essential services for the future.
QUALITY OF LIFE & INFRASTRUCTURE
Protecting what makes Folsom special means preserving the parks, trails, neighborhoods, and open spaces that define our quality of life.
During my time on the City Council, I championed the rebuilding of Castle Park, supported a more responsible project budget, invested in parks and trails, improved accessibility and safety, and worked to keep resident priorities at the center of decisions about growth and infrastructure.
Today, Folsom continues to be known for its exceptional quality of life, outstanding parks and trail system, and commitment to preserving the things residents value most.
Delivering Results for Folsom
Leadership isn't measured by promises, it's measured by results.
I have focused on strengthening public safety, improving fiscal accountability, and protecting Folsom's quality of life. That work has required asking hard questions while challenging the status quo when it wasn't working. I will continue to represent Folsom by staying focused on what matters most to our community.
Folsom is a special place. Protecting what makes our community safe, welcoming and well cared for matters deeply to me. Thank you for the opportunity to serve these past four years. I look forward to continuing this work together.
